1979 Subaru Brat

1985 Subaru Brat rust free California car. The car starts and runs and drives but needs carb work (or I have a new in the box Weber if you want to go that direction). I started restoration but got sick and lost interest to a degree. I have a 2.2 and all swap parts needed including the ECU and extensive documentation and wiring harness drawings for the swap. Additionally I have a dual range 5spd and rear disc brake swap as well. It has new tires, new brakes, and an extensive list of new and used spare parts. This is a project not a daily driver. Trades may be considered.

1985 Subaru Brat

Selling my 1984 Subaru GL BRAT. It has 100,300 miles, I am the 2nd owner, it runs and drives.

It has the original rear-facing jump seats and Subaru’s Halo Twin Roof with both removable glass panels. These BRATs are getting harder to find, especially with the jump seats and roof panels still intact. With a great interior!

It’s not perfect—it is a 1984—but it’s a really cool classic that you can drive as-is or restore. Serious buyers can message me with any questions or to come check it out.

HAVE JUMP SEATS!

Listing for sale my running and driving 1981 Subaru Brat!

Most features work, it was carefully repainted in its original color at some point, and it survives as a well maintained + largely unmolested original. At some point, the bull bar and roll bar were welded up and added, and I do have KC lights that could be added on.

A few cons to note:

- SHIFTER BUSHINGS: - shifts great but shifter has play when not in gear

- NO KEY: an aftermarket ignition
is wired in, can be started with a screwdriver now. The original still remians, unharmed.

- FUEL PUMP WIRING: needs to be properly gone through, I just have it on a switch for now. Works fine for the moment.

- About a fist sized hole in each side of floor pan, some other rust underneath on tub corners and jack point. Otherwise solid and clean.

Unibody is all good, pinch welds are straight

Truck is an 80% complete, running and driving project. With a few weekends, it could be a really nice driver.

1981 Subaru Brat 4WD

Rusty. Runs but I took a couple parts... Has factor buckets in the bed and winch on front. Big tires. Welded rear differential I believe.

1980 Subaru Brat Standard

Needs work. Has buckets and canopy. Bring means to tow.

1986 Subaru Brat Special Edition

1984 Subaru Brat
I have no desire to part with the car but cash would be nice and I need room, maybe trade for a something cool(Bronco, Supra, mustang, Tuner/Drifter, crawler) Rebuilt carb done at Carbmaster in West Jordan. Tightened the shifter to eliminate shifter slop. New fuel filters, oil change, new plugs and wires. I have extra fuel filters.
This rare beauty come with some extra steelie rims, parts carbs, factory rear seats and head rests. T-tops are functional and removable. Camper shell is in great shape. I drove the car from bountiful to Stansbury park. Then a couple small trips around town. The carb needs some adjustment. 138000 original miles. Minimal rust, on the undercarriage. Some rust in rockers and in bed but nothing terrible. The tires hold air but are out of round. The car shakes pretty good at 65mph. Clean title, runs and drives kinda( carb adjustment )This is probably the best unrestored original unit in the state.

My dad recently passed away, before he passed away he purchased this car as a "project" car. He was super excited to find this car, because it is a rare classic. Only 100,000 of these were ever made. He purchased it for $5,000. Im asking $5,000 or best offer. Id love to keep it in memory of my dad and his love for cars, but sadly I dont know enough about cars or have the time to put into this. Maybe you or someone you know would love this car as much he did. Would be a perfect father && son project car.

1978 Subaru Baja

The stock 4 speed has been swapped for a 5 speed dual range transmission from a Subaru RX. All the parts for the center locking diff are intact but would need to be set up to function.

It runs and drives but needs some work to be reliable. Currently leaks every fluid and has an issue with the headlights blowing a fuse.

Tons of rare parts and spares available. Currently sitting on 15" pugs but I do have some 13" stock wheels to go along with the car if desired.

1978 Subaru Brat

Selling my 1978 Subaru Brat only because I need to buy a more practical car. It runs and drives, heads turn everywhere I go. It’s been such a fun car to drive around town but now it’s time to pass the torch.

- When I bought this a few years back, there was an electrical issue that would blow a fuse after it was warmed up, that issue is now fixed (new voltage regulator)
- There was also a leak that ruined the carpet and pad so I took it all out and replaced it, and so far as I can tell, I fixed the leak too.
- I also installed two additional speakers and a sub/amp
- new coolant overflow
- new windshield wiper motor/sprayer
- new seat belts
- brand new Weber carburetor (haven’t had to time to put it in)
- some random other parts
- 3 service manuals.
- clean title (passes deq no problem when idle and mixture screws are set to spec)

NO TRADES $7800 obo

Subaru brat gl. Needs tires, battery and fuel system cleaned. Has matching canopy with good glass. Have an extra engine and transmission can sell with. Have 2 brats total. Would give a good deal if someone buys everything I have for brats. Have clean title.
